Call for Papers: “Firms, Labor Markets, and Development Workshop”, 26-27 June 2026, University of Naples Parthenope (Italy).

Call for Papers

The workshop, now at its 6th edition, seeks to promote the exchange and dissemination of new research
in the fields of development and international economics and their intersections with industrial
organization, labor economics, and migration.
This year’s workshop will be held on 26-27 June 2026 at the University of Naples Parthenope, Italy,
and is planned as an in-person event.

The workshop calls for papers covering, but not limited to:

  • Firm and sectoral productivity
  • Access to foreign markets
  • Firms in hostile environments
  • Growth and structural transformation
  • Technology adoption, learning, and diffusion
  • Labor market frictions
  • International migration and forced displacement

The deadline to submit is February 28th, 2026. Authors of selected papers will be informed by end of
March. Please submit completed papers and/or extended abstracts, with a preference for the former,
by filling the form at this link.

There is no registration fee. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation, while
meals and the social dinner will be provided by the organizers.
